THE MEDIEVAL VILLAGE OF GRUYÈRES

The picturesque town of Gruyères is located at the foot of the Pre-Alps in the canton of Fribourg. The pedestrian city, its cobblestones and its fountain invite you to a gentle stroll. The medieval town gave its name to the region of La Gruyère and to its tasty cheese. Discover a city preserved from time, crowned "the most beautiful village in French-speaking Switzerland in 2014" and one of the "Best Tourism Villages" in 2021.

THE MOLÉSON SUMMIT

A true symbol of the Fribourg Pre-Alps, the Moléson turns its slopes into a real mountain of leisure in winter as well as in summer! Accessible to all thanks to the funicular and the cable car, the summit of Moléson, at 2'002 meters, allows to admire a grandiose panorama on 360°. Lake Geneva, alpine peaks such as Mont Blanc, or the Swiss Plateau are all within reach.

THE MAISON CAILLER

During your stay in Switzerland, the Maison Cailler is one of the must-see places. Surrounded by the sweet scent of chocolate, you will dive into the secrets of this chocolate factory. With family or friends, everyone can share an excellent moment within these walls full of history. Cailler chocolate is a symbol of La Gruyère. Produced with milk from the region, it comes out of the famous Cailler factory since 1898.

THE HOUSE OF GRUYÈRE

The Maison du Gruyère is a village cheese factory where you can discover the traditional production of "Le Gruyère AOP" cheese and much more. The interactive exhibition "Le Gruyère PDO, a journey to the heart of the senses" allows you to immerse yourself in the history of this internationally renowned cheese. An initiatory journey through a drop of milk, it reveals a know-how that has been perpetuated since the 15th century. Moreover, the artisanal production takes place in front of the public, three to four times a day, depending on the season.

The Saint Georges, Hotel & Restaurant is located in the heart of the medieval city of Gruyères.
